The Langtang valley is aptly called ‘the valley of glaciers" Here, mountain rise, soaring towards the sky. The valley offers pine forest, swift mountain streams, rugged rock and snowcapped peaks, grassy downs and meadows strewn with daisies and wild primal. A variety of sights including Buddhist monasteries, a cheese factory, yaks, glaciers and mountain lakes make this trek an exciting one. This trek offers the experience of being in a typical Sherpa, Tamang village and many ancient monasteries. It is a golden chance to learn about life in these villages.

Trekking Itinerary:
Day 01: Arrive, international airport in Kathmandu meet Nepal alternative treks representative in the airport and free transport to selected hotel at Thamel, The hotel is centrally located in the Thamel area of Kathmandu which is renowned for its many restaurants, shops, bars, and nightclubs etc which cater for the tourists.
Day 02: Pre-trip Meeting and Sightseeing around Kathmandu valley with professional city guide.
In the morning after breakfast at 9 AM, we host a Pre-Trip meeting at your hotel in Kathmandu and introduced your trek Leader/Guide mean time and it will provide an opportunity for individuals to ask questions about the your trek and to introduce you to other participants. This includes a final briefing and preparations for the trip.
Please advise us if you will be arriving late and are therefore unable to attend the pre-trip meeting.
In the pre-trip meeting all passengers must bring:
1. Passport.
2. Four copies of Passport size photos each.
3. Travel Insurance Policy.
4. A writing pen
5. Note pad.
After the Pre-Trip meeting and breakfast your sightseeing trip will start at 9.45 AM in the morning. We provide a private vehicle and professional tour guide. We visit Bodhnath Stupa, one of the biggest Buddhist shrines in the world, where we observe Buddhist monks in prayer in the monasteries surrounding the stupa. After Bodhnath Stupa we visit Pashupatinath, the most famous Hindu temple in the country, located on the banks of the holy Bagmati River. Here we see Hindu holy men (sadhus) meditating, pilgrims bathing and occasionally funeral pyres burning on the ghats.
The rest of our time in Kathmandu is free for further exploration and some last-minute shopping in Thamel area near by your hotel. Later, we are supplied with our Trek Pack and departure information for tomorrow. Overnight at hotel.
Day 03: Drive by local bus from Kathamandu to starting point of trekking Dhunche (8 hours 170 km 1930 mtr.) stay over night at lodge.
Day 04: Trek to Syabru Village (6 hours 2145 mtr.) stay over night at lodge.
Day 05: Trek to Lama hotel (6 hours 2650 mtr.) and stay over night at lodge.
Day 06:Trek to Langtang (6 hours 3451 mtr.) and stay over night at lodge.
Day 07: Rest day for acclimatization and explore around traditional Tibetan Village. And stay over night at lodge.
Day 08: Trek to Kyanjine Gomba (3 hours 3860 m.) take a lunch at tea house and walk up to the view point Kyanjine Ri (4610 m.) back to the lodge for over night.
Day 09: Trek back to Lama hotel (6 hours) over night in tea house accommodation.
Day 10: Trek to Syabru Bensi (5 hours walking) and stay over night in lodge.
Day 11: Trek back to Dhunche (6 hours walking) stay over night at lodge.
Day 12: Drive by local bus back to Kathmandu (9 hours 200 Km.).
Day 13: Departure to your home country. Nepal alternative treks will provide you free transport to international trivuwan airport. |
